Trail running gear: the pre-departure checklist
When trail running, you are often far from a water source. Your trail gear should meet four needs:
Hydration: soft flasks and hydration belt.
Storage: phone, gels, keys, poles.
Protection: windbreaker, gloves, neck warmer.
Keeping your feet dry: technical socks.
This selection brings together these items for men and women. Each piece of trail accessory is designed in France by runners. For trail clothing categorized by range, see the trail collection instead.
Carrying water: flasks and belts
The Hydra Flask 500ml is soft and fits the hand. It slips into a belt or vest. The Power Hydration Belt 500ml has a waterproof-lined zippered pocket and elastic pole holders. The 150 ml Hydra Cup is for aid stations. Compare them in the hydration belts or among the flasks and cups.
Storage without a bag: tights and shorts with pockets
The Performance Tight is polyamide tights with a wide 10 cm waistband and a drawstring. Its elasticated front pocket holds a flask or bar, its zippered back pocket keeps the phone and keys. The Performance Max Short 2 in 1 holds a 250 ml flask, the ZipRun Short 3 in 1 stores the phone behind a waterproof membrane. In winter, the Endurance Tight holds a 500 ml flask. Compare the trail tights.
Protection and keeping your feet dry
The Performance Windbreaker weighs 150 g in size M and is water-repellent. The Terrarun Windbreaker takes the same base with a mineral pattern. The SoftTech Gloves keep hands dry and remain touch-screen compatible. The TerraRun Neck Warmer, made from recycled material, can be worn as a beanie, headband, or neck warmer. For feet, the CrossRun Mid in merino wool limit odors, and the CrossRun Low have mesh zones for summer. See the running socks and the running gloves.
