Men's running tights: why wear them
Tights support the thigh muscles and prevent skin-on-skin chafing, especially after an hour of running. At Bodycross, they come in two forms: on their own, close to the body, or sewn under loose-fitting shorts. Both have flat seams. Each model is designed in France by runners.
Tights on their own: three close-fitting models
TerraRun Tight: 88 g in size M, 16 cm inseam, angled side seams, and breathable mesh on the front. They can be worn on their own or under ZipRun shorts.
World Belt Tight: 220 GSM interlock made of 75% polyamide and 25% spandex, with an integrated waistband featuring a mesh pocket for gels and a zippered pocket for a phone.
ZipRun Short 3 in 1: its nylon tights detach from the shorts and can be worn on their own, with a pocket on the thigh.
Integrated tights: what changes from one pair of shorts to another
The tights' fabric makes the difference. Those on the Performance Max Short 2 in 1 are made of 82% nylon and 18% spandex: they wick away sweat effectively and retain fewer odors. The SpectraRun and TopoRun have 180 GSM mesh tights, which are more breathable. The Trailxplorer Short 2 in 1 uses polyamide interlock and adds mesh to the inside of the legs.
Men's trail tights or marathon tights
On the trails, you need something to carry water and nutrition: the Trailxplorer has a 360° belt with pole holders, while the Performance Max has a pocket for a 250 ml soft flask. For road marathon tights, aim for lightness and a pocket for gels: the World Belt Tight or TerraRun Tight are sufficient. For more water capacity, add a hydration belt.
Size, winter, and fit
Men's running tights should fit closely without being tight: follow the men's shorts size guide; exchanges are free within 30 days. When it's cold, switch to men's running leggings. For the top, check out men's running t-shirts.
