THE ESSENTIALS FOR THE MARATHON DE LA LOIRE
WHY EQUIP YOURSELF WITH BODYCROSS FOR THE MARATHON DE LA LOIRE ?
Highly anticipated by runners from the Pays de la Loire and the surrounding areas, the Marathon de la Loire is a major sporting event. Participants face a 42.195 km course for the most daring. An event that requires good physical preparation to complete. But also suitable running gear. Especially to avoid discomfort (underarm and inner-thigh chafing) as well as unpleasant sensations (heavy sweating and lack of aerodynamics).
Bodycross, a specialist in designing apparel suited for running, offers solutions to help you enjoy high-quality running gear. The Marathon de la Loire takes place in May, so temperatures will be mild. However, the race course runs along the Royal River for the entire distance. You may therefore occasionally feel winds accompanying the flow of the river.
This is why we recommend choosing lightweight apparel with breathable knit fabric. Also a windbreaker to protect you from the cold if needed.

RUDOLF SILVER-PLUS
Whatever event you choose during the Marathon de la Loire, you will need to exert yourself for several hours to complete it. Indeed, a full marathon generally takes between 4 and 5 hours for regular athletes. As for the half marathon and the combination event, these events still require you to draw on your resources to finish them. It is for this kind of physical effort that Bodycross protects its running apparel with the Rudolf Silver-Plus finish. This technology allows the fabric to improve its performance. Notably by giving it exceptional softness. Thus, the finish drastically reduces the risk of skin irritation when coming into contact with the garment. Even during long efforts such as the individual marathon of the Marathon de la Loire. Finally, the fabric is designed to protect against dust mites, bacteria, bad odors, mold, and itching that most sportswear can face.

COMPRESSION
Compression fabric is useful in several cases. Notably when you are doing long-distance runs such as those in the Marathon de la Loire. First, compression fabric helps limit superfluous muscle movements by compressing it against the body. Thus, the garment helps reduce muscle contraction time. Ideal for maintaining a steady pace over long distances. Also, compression fabric limits the production of lactic acid in the muscles. As a result, you will not feel heaviness or pain in your legs if you temporarily reduce your pace. For long-distance runs, we recommend wearing compression legwear to support your muscles and reduce energy loss. But also to avoid burning caused by chafing between the thighs. Wearing compression topwear is not mandatory for long-distance runs. You can wear a simple t-shirt to avoid an unpleasant constricting sensation on the torso after 4 hours of running.

ECO-RECYCLED
The Marathon de la Loire event takes place in a region that is mostly covered by nature. Fields and forests occupy a large area of the Pays de la Loire. Not to mention the obvious importance of the Loire, which flows through the region. The race itself honors this environment in the events and routes. The individual marathon and half marathon run along the Royal River and pass through verdant landscapes. The combination event even offers participants the chance to paddle a few kilometers on the Loire in canoes. Bodycross perfectly fits the Marathon de la Loire event. The brand itself is constantly seeking to renew and evolve in order to preserve its environment. The production of Bodycross running apparel is in the process of becoming completely eco-responsible. All so that you can enjoy running, a non-polluting sport, with clothing that itself does not require the use of polluting materials.
